What is Warehousing?Warehouses are used by manufacturers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, transport businesses, customs, etc. A Warehouse Operative deals with goods and products that come into a warehouse or stockroom. Tasks can include loading and unloading goods from trucks, railways, airports, or seaports, operating cranes and forklifts, loading pallets, storing goods, checking for damaged or missing items, manual work (lifting and carrying), picking and packing orders, delivery, record/paperwork keeping, cleaning work areas.
